European Academy of Yuste Foundation lanseaza apelul la candidatura pentru acordarea a 10 burse europene de cercetare si mobilitate pentru studii europene “Premiul European Charles Quint 2008 – Simone Veil” si organizarea “Seminarului de vara de studii doctorale pluridisciplinare privind Europa contemporana” , cu colaborarea academica a retelei SEGEI (SocioEconomic Governance and European Identity) si a Universitatii Estremadure, care va avea loc la Royal Monstery of Yuste si Palatul Charles V (Extremadura, Spania) in iulie 2009.

Bursele europene sunt destinate studentilor europeni care-si pregatesc teza de doctorat in istorie, stiinte politice, economie, drept sau in alte discipline ale stiintelor umane si sociale/domenii stiintifice.

Programul Vulcanus – burse pentru studenti UE in Japonia

Programul consta in stagii de practica in domeniul industrial pentru studentii din Uniunea Europeana. Stagiile dureaza 12 luni. Ele incep in

The 2007-2009 EUSA Executive Committee is pleased to announce the 2009 EUSA Haas Fellowship Competition, an annual summer fellowship for graduate student EU-related dissertation research. We will offer two unrestricted fellowships of $1,500 each.

The selection committee consists of:
- Liesbet Hooghe (EUSA chair, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Free University of Amsterdam)
- Bonnie Meguid (University of Rochester)
- Jonas Tallberg (Stockholm University)

Applicants must:
• be pursuing the doctoral degree (PhD) at an accredited institution in any country;
• be writing a dissertation in English;
• have an EU-related, doctoral dissertation topic approved by the professor who will supervise it; and,
• be able to demonstrate the relevance to EU studies of the dissertation topic.

Applicants for this Fellowship should submit:
(1) A two-page (max 1,200 words) précis of the dissertation research
(2) A one-page description that describes the summer project and specifies how the fellowship may be used
(3) A CV
(4) Ask for a letter of support, which must be from the Chair of the student’s dissertation committee; the letter should be sent directly to EUSA (eusa@pitt.edu) under the heading “2009 Haas Fellowship:letter
for [applicant name]“

Please send applications to eusa@pitt.edu, and use the heading “2009 Haas Fellowship: [applicant name].” The firm deadline for applications to be received in the EUSA office is January 31, 2009.
The successful applicant(s) will be notified by March 1, 2009, and will receive the grant as soon as the fellowship award letter has been signed and returned to EUSA. The fellowship will be paid in one lump sum by check only and in US dollars only.

Every year the University of Salford offers a number of Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTAs) for suitably qualified candidates wishing to study for a PhD. The scholarships are worth £13,290 per annum over three years and are open to UK/EU students.

Burse pentru doctoranzi

New Europe College (NEC) anunta concursul anual pentru bursele de cercetare NEC 2009-2010 pentru universitari/ cercetatori romani din domeniile stiintelor umaniste, sociale si economice.

Conditii de participare:
1. candidatul trebuie sa fie inscris la doctorat sau sa aiba titlul de doctor;
2. se va acorda prioritate candidatilor sub 40 ani si celor care nu au beneficiat inca de burse acordate de NEC;
3. o foarte buna cunoastere a cel putin doua din limbile straine de circulatie internationala.

Bursa se acorda pentru un an academic (10 luni). Programul bursierilor presupune prezenta obligatorie in Bucuresti cel putin o data pe saptamana timp de 9 luni. In intervalul de 10 luni, bursierii vor beneficia de un
stagiu de cercetare intr-unul din marile centre universitare/ de cercetare din strainatate. Valoarea bursei lunare (acordata pe durata a 9 luni) este echivalentul in RON a 600 EURO (neimpozabili) , la care se adauga 2.600 EURO pentru stagiul de cercetare.
